A pair of new monthly plans are up for launch by Leap Wireless which will be put alongside the CricketPAYGo product line. The new plans are all inclusive and will retail for $40 and $45 per month and will be available at retailers around the country.

The $40 plan will include unlimited talk time, US long distance along with some text and picture messaging features. The $45 plan will practically has the same features that the $40 plan carries although it will have web access and directory assistance as added highlights.

Cricket has announced the availability of Samsung’s new entry-level phone, the SCH-r211, on their network.  Similar in form factor and features to Samsung Spex, which already found its way on to Cricket’s lineup last year, this new functional phone will be an ideal match for someone looking for a no-frills phone with basic cell phone functionality.  The only connectivity option available is support for Cricket’s Advanced Wireless Services (AWS), which provides access to ringtones, wallpapers, and other downloadable content from Cricket including Cricket Games and Apps.  Other than that, this candybar of course can make/receive calls and send/receive text messages.

The SCH-r211 is available now with a suitable price tag of $90 across all Cricket outlets.
