Pantech C630 is the new cellphone that will become available at AT&T on December 12th, in other words, tomorrow.
This is the third basic cellphone for today, because we’ve already mentioned the ZTE C78 and the Alcatel 206, but at least all of them have low prices, which in this case is $40 after signing a 2-year contract. In terms of specifications, the Pantech C630 has a microSD slot to expand its small internal memory, a 1.3-megapixel camera, bluetooth, 3G, and finally an unusual feature - GPS.

Did you also notice the empty LG Vu shelves? And was the answer ‘Don’t know’ when you asked the seller when will they get more? Well rejoice, LG Vu 920 is coming soon!
We’ve covered the LG Vu some time ago so I’m not going to let you in on all the technical details again. But since it is one of the cheapest touchscreen phones on the market, I thought of letting you know the new Wine colored version is going be out soon! The coolest thing about it, except for the large 3 inch touchscreen, the HSDPA support and the 2 megapixel camera is the extraordinary MediaFLO technology incorporated! Well I went all specs all over you didn’t I?
All those interested just go to AT&T and you will get it for about $100. When? The words “real soon” come to mind.

It can be considered a basic task for some people, but it isn’t that simple for the elderly.
Since promotion of an AT&T service is expected, seniors will get to know HAC - Hearing Aid Compatible - options.

Will we finally have an official AT&T iPhone tethering plan? It looks like that’s going to happen. According to various rumors the tethering plan will cost $30 per month and it will bring you a 5GB traffic limitation. When traffic reaches the 5GB cap the connection will be cut which means you won’t get any surcharges. As always, there’s no news about the official release date but since we’re talking about AT&T this rumored might just get confirmation.

Orange France is ready to do to the iPhone what we’ve all been secretly dreaming about. The French carrier is going to cut the iPhone 3G price to 99 Euro for the holiday season. That’s $126 in US money for the $8GB model. And that’s a 45 Euro price drop from the initial price of the $8GB iPhone.
The 16GB iPhone 3G will also get a price cut although it’s not official yet. It’s rumored that the 16GB model will cost 129 Euro instead of just 199. In US dollars that’s a drop from $253 to $164. The offer will be available from November 13th to January 14th, so if in France, go iPhone!
So AT&T, with the Storm coming, would you consider significant price cuts?

There have been a few text messaging spikes at AT&T during recent years, but the biggest spike happened during the Election Night in which a 44% jump was reported.
According to AT&T this was the highest spike in their history, and it even passed the New Year’s Eve record of 2007.
Mark Collins from AT&T comments:

While AT&T has managed to conceal the Bold from the public for quite a few months they didn’t go though all that trouble with the Quickfire, or the Knick. The handset was rumored to be released on November 10th. Instead of delaying the launch, AT&T has actually launched the handset two days earlier. The price is $149.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year contract. The phone was purchased in small U.S. town in an AT&T store. Is anyone able to verify the story?

AT&T has purchased Centennial Communications Corp for just $944 million today in a move intended to improve AT&T’s coverage in the Midwest, Southeast and Puerto Rico. Centennial subscribers will slowly move to AT&T’s billing system soon. And we mean the whole 1.1 million subscribers which AT&T added to it’s already 74.9 million base. Just a few million subscribers to go for AT&T to reach the new number one U.S. carrier which is Verizon.

People have been talking today about a possible future Android phone coming from AT&T. Soon people were saying next month such a handset might appear. But the truth is nowhere near. In fact no Google phone will be launched anytime soon. An article published on the San Francisco Chronicle site says:
De la Vega said AT&T continues to look at Google’s Android operating system but is not prepared to make any moves to carry any Android phones. He said the platform is still evolving and needs to open up even more to offer a wider array of non-Google applications.
So what do you say? Would you fancy the idea of an AT&T handset running on Android?

The Fuze is on its way and you’re going to see it soon in an AT&T store. The HTC slider will arrive on November 11 and it will cost $499 when chosen without a contract or $299 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year contract. What do you think about the pricing? Isn’t it too expensive? Even with a contract you get a smartphone which is more expensive than the G1 or the upcoming Storm.

Boy did we cover the whole tethering-your-iPhone idea, or what? After NetShare got canceled from the App Store, there was no official tethering program. Sure you could always jailbreak your phone and then use various programs out there. But Apple and AT&T didn’t support any of them.
In a recent interview, Ralph De La Vega, AT&T Mobility CEO, admitted the fact that the carrier is working on tethering your iPhone. We’d like to learn more about AT&T’s intentions. Are we going to see special tethering plans? Probably yes. Will people pay more to tether their handset? That’s what I suspect so far.

The AT&T Fuze looks similar to the HTC Touch Pro because it’s exactly the same phone. We know the carrier is coming but we have absolutely no idea about when that’s going to happen.
People are talking, and what they say is the Fuze is going to be released sometime this week. It’s only Monday so we’ll have plenty of time to confirm it. What do you think? Would you get a Fuze?
