I don’t know what it is about the romanticism of the zombie genre. Maybe its because we just want to live in a world apart from civilization, where the only law is survival.
So if you need a zombie fix, you might want to get ZombieHunter by StormBASIC SL for the iPhone and iPod touch. It has 3D graphics, animations, online scoring, and two gameplay modes: history and survival.
Believe it or not, it is available for free for a limited time. I don’t know how limited it is, so you might want to click here to download it now.

I love augmented reality, and this is one application known as Sky Siege that is very cool. There are no QR codes on this app, just a chance for you to shoot enemy aerial vehicles.
Sky Siege uses the iPhone’s 3GS compass and accelerometers in order to figure out where the player is, and so he or she can turn around and shoot a plane or blimp.
If you’re an iPhone user and you want to try it out, feel free to head over to the iTunes store and lay down $3.

Depending on how you look at it, a price decrease is something that customers will cheer but can likewise symbolize reprieve for a faltering cause. This is with reference to rumors that the Apple iPad may be lowering its price soon, “nimble” but definitely lower.
At this point, the Apple iPad norms at $499 and should they adjust the price, competitors may be in for some trouble. Obviously a lot of them have come out with Apple iPad imitations with lower prices. But if the price discrepancy is just a couple of bucks, wouldn’t it be better to stick with the authentic brand that started it all?

Nothing has been definite on the release of the iPhone 4G. There have been a lot of speculations on what it will come out with such as HD video support and some background applications. But now let us go a bit to the physical part of it. Rumors are flying that it will be taller than its previous iPhone brothers.
Some photos over at iResQ show a taller iPhone, about ¼ inches taller than the previous ones which measured 115m tall. Aside from that, it will have a reflective surface above the speaker and a LCD that is factory-glued to the digitizer. However, this is not yet the final design so don’t conclude just yet!

Some rumors include Refreshed MacBook Pros, iPonies (what?) and so on. Then again it could be nothing but what is the harm if you entertain a little bit of crazy ideas. Well the site is back up and nothing staggering has been found aside from the release of the Aperture 3 with faces and places tagging. So much for excitement!

Once again, there is another free game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that I missed reporting on. First it was Valet Hero, now Lion’s Pride.
Lion’s Pride has nothing to do with that Siegfried and Roy Father of the Pride CG show that last only a handful of episodes on NBC. In Lion’s Pride, the player takes control of a pride of lions as they stalk their land and ambush prey.
It only costs $0.99 to download, so beat that! It’s almost free.

For those who have ever wanted to make it in Hollywood will now have their chance to start from the ground up with Valet Hero.
That’s right, feel free to park cars for the stars at “3 difficulty levels, 5 unique lots, and Open Feint integrations for achievements/leaderboards”. Just point and drag the car to park in the right spot.
The game was free yesterday, but sorry, I didn’t hear about it until today. But it only costs $1.99, but that ain’t much, is it?

It looks like Apple has something planned again and it concerns advertising through its Apple platform. Apple is said to be prohibiting the use of GPS for serving location aware ads which limits the iPhone to just give out important information.
Apple has acquired ad company Quattro Wireless and from the looks of it, Apple will be launching a mobile advertising network which will be serving ads on free apps.

The iPhone does make it easier to locate you thanks to its GPS functionality but this hasn’t been perfected yet. And from the looks of it, Apple is set to make it all easier with a new patent that they have filed.
Under the new design, you can easily hand out your location when you are talking to someone on the other line. You can simply send the full details of your location to them via SMS which does sound simple. Let us see what this patent is all about once it does get approved.

Imagine if you could just say into your iPhone: “get me a table at (X) restaurant at (Y) time on (Z) day. Then it would actually do it.
This is what the Siri app is designed to do. Siri is cued to many apps including OpenTable, MovieTickets, StubHub, CitySearch, and TaxiMagic. It will recognize commands with a lot of accuracy, but results can very. The app is free, so it might be worth trying out.

Rumors on the coming of the iPhone 4G are still swirling and this time around HD video support is the latest rumored feature this Apple device will come with. The conclusion was made from a iPhone OS 3.2 SDK which seems to support the idea.
This is still unconfirmed though and knowing how people want to get the best of anything for future mobile devices, it can happen and does make sense if you consider how many surprises Apple has made through the years.

The ContactFlow app for the iPhone may seem simple but the interface is something that should make sense for people who want an easier way to skim through their address book. With the ContactFlow app, users can browse their contacts as albums of an iPod, cover flow style
Additionally, this app allows users to immediately call, send SMS or even email in a flash. The app is now available at the iTunes app store for $1.99.

Considering the App Store is being absolutely flooded with downloads, it is the perfect opportunity to get some advertisements out there. And, considering the fact that it has built in GPS, it’s the perfect opportunity for advertisement providers to provide some incredibly targeted ads.
Well, it seems that if app developers are using Core Location just to provide targeted ads, Apple is going to reject the app and ask them to remove the call. This is quite unfortunate for developers looking to monetize their apps further and probably out of the blue considering users can actually reject the invitation to let the app use their location.

As Apple slowly but surely loosens the reigns on what can and can’t go into App Store, more and more apps are showing some promising and incredibly useful features that were previously not allowed. The latest of such apps is SlingPlayer which you might already know has been available in the App Store for some time now. However, while previously available, it only allowed you to stream content over WiFi which made it virtually useless unless you were in a wireless hotspot.
Today, it was announced that AT&T has given the app developers the go ahead to allow for streaming over 3G. Unfortunately, the new version of the app still needs to get Apple’s approval so there’s not telling on when the update may actually hit.

Did you lose or forget your password for your iPhone? Well not to worry. ElcomSoft Co. Ltd. has announced the release of their new password recovery tool, the ElcomSoft iPhone Password Breaker which should help unlock iPhone and iPod Touch backup encryptions. This software grants forensic access to information stored on Apple devices by recovering password-protected backups.
And for a limited time, the pre-release version is available free of charge. The new Elcomsoft password recovery tool works with offline backups, supports original and “jailbroken” devices, and does not require Apple iTunes to be installed.

We are all aware that the Apple notebooks cost a bundle but if you can get your hands on the next best thing like “imitations” why not? The Teclast X13-S01 notebook is a dead ringer for the Apple-based notebooks and can really be a great alternative for the people who cannot afford the MacBook Air.
The Teclast X13-S01 features a 13.3” display and measures less than 1cm thin and the thickest area at 2.3cm. It comes in a gray aluminum casing with a white-colored keyboard. No other info, including pricing and release date, are available at this time.

I guess Apple’s still relishing in all the attention after the iPad unveiling one week ago. It’s not like they sounded the trumpet for this new feature of iTunes for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
This iTunes Preview allows the user to select an App Store link and be taken to the website showing the app’s details. In other words, you know what you’re getting into before you’re downloading. Have you ever downloaded an App, and discovered that it wasn’t what you were expecting at all? With this app, you can see a picture, price, description, rating, reviews and screenshots.
I can’t help but wonder what a preview for the iTunes Preview would like.
