Casio Announces Two-inch 960×540 pixel LCDBy Maverick - 09/25/2008 3:05:54 PM |
Marking extraordinary leap in display technology, Casio has announced a two-inch display that features 960×540 resolution. What this means is that there are 546 pixels per inch supporting 16.8 million colors. By comparison, those seven-inch portable media players feature 800×480 resolution LCDs.
The Casio display uses a proprietary Hyper Amorphous Silicon TFT (HAST) LCD. They are yet to hit mass production, but damn, I can’t wait to see what they can do with four inches!
