Canon PowerShot A550 & A460 Digital Cameras
Canon announced today, two new entry-level PowerShot A-Series model digital cameras, the 7.1 megapixel Canon PowerShot A550 and the 5.0 megapixel PowerShot A460. Both of these new models are packed with features, and offer consumers the latest technological advancements.

The Canon PowerShot A550 is a 7.1 megapixel model with 4x optical zoom, DIGIC II image processor, and a 2-inch LCD screen. This model is replacing last year's PowerShot A530 model, and features higher resolution, larger screen, and better battery life. It is also compatible with MMC, SD, and SDHC memory cards, and an enhanced movie mode that can record 30fps VGA clips. It retains many of the classic A-series features, including an optical viewfinder and comfortable handgrip.
The Canon PowerShot A460 digital camera is a 5.0 megapixel model featuring 4x optical zoom, a 2-inch LCD screen, and the DIGIC II image processor. It also has an optical viewfinder, and is compatible with MMC, SD, and SDHC memory cards.
Both the Canon A550 and the Canon A460 digital camersas will be available in stores in mid-February. The A550 will sell for $199.99, and the A460 will go for $149.00. Pictured here is the A550 model.
