Buy.com starts selling unlocked iPhone 3GsBy Dax - 04/14/2009 5:46:55 AM |
Jailbreaking your iPhone 3G might be cool and all, but it would be more fun if you are doing it without voiding your warranty. Sadly, Apple doesn’t agree with this and is always ready to unleash its wrath upon those who dare to do it, but with MacWorld – and hopefully a new iPhone – looming in the near future, times sure seem to have changed. Buy.com is now offering up 16GB “never-locked” iPhone 3Gs that come with genuine Apple-certified warranty and what’s more, these devices can be updated to the latest firmware without the fear of being locked down by the company. But freedom always comes with a price and Buy.com is demanding a hefty $799.99 for it. Wonder what AT&T has to say about this.
