Last week on November 5, Tickets.com launched the mobile version of ProVenueMobile - a service that lets users complete a ticket transaction by only using their mobile phone. According to them, this is the “first in the world service” with this type of functionality, in which consumers don’t have to “click to call” in order to really buy a ticket.

It is also a first in the compatibility section, because it can work with almost all web-enabled smart phones or basic cellphones, be it an iPhone, Treo, Nokia, or Blackberry.

How does it work:

The technology delivers barcoded tickets directly to customers’ mobile phones immediately following purchases. The day of the event, the customers simply present their mobile phones for quick and efficient scanned entry into the venue, making the entire ticket transaction experience as simple and convenient as possible.

This means you don’t have to wait in line to buy tickets anymore!
