Buffalo announces new external HDs with USB3.0By Tony - 02/24/2010 7:09:47 PM |
All the way from Japan, Buffalo has announced a few external hard-drives that feature the USB 3.0 interface – sadly it seems the devices will only become available to the Japanese market. They presented 2 small models, and 3 bigger ones, that can go from 500GB up to 2TB.
In terms of prices, the smaller drives are available for $250 in case you want 640GB, and $200 if you want 500GB. On the other hand there are the bigger drives that start at $230 for 1TB, or $300 for 1.5TB, and lastly $420 for 2TB. Obviously the new external hard-drives are compatible with USB 2.0 and can either work with Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7, as well as with the Mac OSX 10.4. The new drives will become available for purchase in March 2010.
