05 Aug 08 Brando Unlocks Your iPhone 3G with iSmartphone

We’ve seen a mechanical iPhone 3G SIM unlock the other day. After ordering one SIM you would be placing it between your iPhone and your carrier’s SIM and everything would work out.

Well Brando has something really similar. The iSmartphone unlocks your iPhone 3G as well as other mobiles. Simply place it in the same soft and change the design of your carrier’s card with some scissors. The iSmartphone is available for just $20.50 and will ship worldwide. Tell us how it works if you’ve got one already!

I’ve bought one iSmartphone chip for my iPhone and it really functionned a few hours but then it never encountered my carrier network. Actually my iPhone says on left-top screen “No Service”. I’ve used my iSmartphone chip with a Nokia N70 and it really work fine and I conclued my chipcard it’s OK and iPhone too because with original carrier SIMcard it get Network signal. When I put iSmartchip again the message “No Service” appears again. At this moment I don’t really know how this happens. If anyone knows please tell me.

I’ve bought an iSmartphone for my Apple iPhone3G 8Gb (firmware 2.0.2.) from Amerika. He’s AT&T locked. I use it in the Netherlands with Orange NL. Everything work fine! calls, sms & 3G data. I hope he will stay working. I let you know here if it does!

I’ve used this chip on my iphone 8G(3G)…it gave me same problem as Manuel…however, I removed the SIM and made a call using my regular phone and also used data on it..just so that SIM gets some data transfer and reinserted back on iphone and set international roaming on and it worked…visual voicemail still didn’t work for me even after subscribing to it.

    Guys

I can confirm with 100% certainty that the iSmartphone 2008 does not work with either the 3G iPhone or the 2G. I have both phones. Tried with KPN and Vodafone sim in the Netherlands as well as when roaming in the US.

The vendors who re branded under various names are now trying to convince you that there is a version 2.0 of the hack out and that this works. The new version does not require you to clip the card. I have not tried it but wrote to the UK vendor who sold me their version 1.0 and no response.

    This is definetly a scam.

I would be weary of comments on this blog that claim it worked. Simply un true.

I ordered the same card at Hong Kong,

I buyed my iPhone 3G in Switzerland, it was working the two or three first days…

It was working with firmware version 2.0.1

it was still working after the update to 2.0.2, but one day after i got “No Service”, and impossible to connect to any gsm network!!!

I tryed the card in another mobile, an old nokia, and it works fine!! But now when i try in the iphone i still got problems, still no service…

60 dollars (with shippement) for a fu**** card who worked only 3 danys….

First, i’ve got the new card (black one, no need to cut)

    Settings for i-smartphone with iphone

    example:
    SUNRISE Switzerland

    IMPORTANT!!!
–>datenroaming have to be “on” (blue)

    –>settings for internet:
    APN: internet
    Usernam: (empty)
    Password: (empty)

    like this it works perfect!!
3G, EDGE, Safari, Phone, SMS, everything :)

    if not:
restart your phone, or try to place the card shortly in an other phone like nokia make a call or go online.

I just bought i-smartphone black one no cut needed.

Using with iPhone 3G 2.1 T-Mobile US. EDGE is started working only when I enabled data rouming and setup APN (wap.voicestream.com) with login and password (guest:guest). Now it works fine. When I am enabling 3G it starts losing signal I am therefore forced to disable it and reboot the phone otherwise it does not work.
