Bose Media Center Gets FCC Nod
The folks over at the FCC approved the Bose Media Center, a premier audio/navigation system with bleeding edge technology. The Media Center comes with several useful functions on the front of the device, including zoom-in/zoom-out for the maps.
The Source Information Display is where all the action is, displaying the currently playing media or selected station. When the thing is finally fitted onto your car, you also get volume control on the steering wheel.
Supported broadcast sources include AM, FM, XM and TV. Other modes available on the Bose Media Center include CD/DVD, iPod, Music Library and U-Music. It supports MP3, WAV and WMA audio formats. There is also integration with your cell phone presumably via Bluetooth.
No word on the pricing or availability yet, but it should be out soon.
