Imagine my surprise and astonishment today when I found myself reading two different sets of news about the BlackBerry Thunder. How’s that surprising? Well according to some, the Thunder is really enjoyable to use and ready to enter production. According to others, the Thunder really sucks and it won’t be hear for the next four or five months.

Let’s go on the negative side first. According to those sources, the keyboard isn’t that comfortable to use, with the screen showing ripples when the screen is pressed even slightly. The accelerometer isn’t working properly and you won’t like it when the Thunder will move. The UI blinks and lags and for every pressed key there’s a laggy response. I surely wouldn’t like to believe that.

Going on the positive side we find out about the awesome touchscreen and keypad the Thunder has to offer. There’s localized haptic technology. That means that when you press the screen, it pushes like a real button and you feel a feedback from the virtual keyboard. There’s full QWERTY but you already knew that. And there’s SureType entry. Depending on how you hold the phone you get one or the other to show. SureType keyboard comes up in portrait mode while full QWERTY shows up in landscape. Just go typing on that glass multi-touch screen this BlackBerry is supposed to have. According to this source, the BlackBerry Thunder will enter production this week. I’d like to believe these news.

So what do you think? Is this BlackBerry going to be a success or not?
