BlackBerry Bold launched on Vodafone UKBy Dax - 09/05/2008 6:39:00 AM |
A quick hop over to Orange UK‘s website reveals that the latest devil from RIM is already out of stock, the same situation as the high-priced New York sellout. Vodafone UK looks to create the same kind of magic with the BlackBerry Bold, which is available starting now, and you don’t have to pay the $1300 premium price as the carrier is offering this HSDPA, WiFi, and GPS-laden smartphone for free on a £35pm two-year contract with goodies like unlimited texting, 500MB data transfer, and 600 minutes of talktime. A sweet deal indeed for a device that has a multimedia player, 1GB of internal memory with microSD expansion, a full QWERTY keypad, and a half-VGA 480×320 display. The 2-megapixel cam seems to be the only qualm, but then if you wanted imaging power, you would be thinking of the Innov8, wouldn’t ya?
