Today, Research in Motion officially announced the long-awaited BlackBerry 8800 smartphone at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona. This newest model is RIM's slimmest BlackBerry yet, and is fully-featured with built-in GPS, a full QWERTY keyboard, trackball navigation, microSD card slot, and a number of multimedia features.
The BlackBerry 8800 also features smart dialing, conference calling, speed dialing, call fowarding, and Speacker Independent Voice Recognition for Voice Activated Dialing (VAD). The phone also has Bluetooth 2.0, which can be used with wireless headsets and other Bluetooth accessories, and a high-quality speakerphone.
