BlackBerry 8120: The Updated BlackBerry Pearl?

|

bbpearl.jpg If the rumors are correct, the BlackBerry 8120 will be the forthcoming update to the original BlackBerry Pearl, and it will be available in a rainbow of colors. It seems as though RIM is taking a new direction in the marketing of the BlackBerry line. First, we got the BlackBerry Pearl, which was a more consumer-friendly design, rather than the BlackBerry's stereotypical business-oriented designs. And now, they are targeting the consumer set even more with the launch of the updated Pearl, which will be available in a range of colors.

Rogers Wireless will be launching the updated BlackBerry Pearl, with a US carrier getting a 1 week jumpstart. Chances are, it'll be T-Mobile getting this new model first. The rumored colors will be black, red, titanium, blue, and gold, and the device is expected to launch in September. Expected features include a 2-megapixel camera, GPS, and WiFi.
