You know Bic don’t you? They used to manufacture disposable pens and shavers. I mean the still do that but now they want in the cell phone business too. And what better way than to offer us a disposable cell phone.

Bic and Orange will partner up to offer the BicPhone which will be available in various bright colors from any cigarette store from August 7th. The phone made by TCL from China, comes with a battery precharge for 1 hour of talk time. It will support phone calls and SMS texting and this is pretty much all we can expect from the BicPhone.

When in France, give it a try. It will retail for 49 Euro or about $80. It’s rather expensive but it will come in handy if your smartphone’s battery just dies in the middle of an important conversation with your wife.

I guess Orange France will not subsidize the price if you get a plan.There aren’t any 1 hour plans available yet!
