20 May 09 Best Buy to Sell the Pre for $199.99; No Need for Rebates
Sprint has officially announced the price for the Pre yesterday and while $199.99 sounds good enough, you’ll have to pay $299.99 up front and then wait for that $100 mail-in rebate. Best Buy on the other hand, will do its Pre business differently. The company will offer the Palm Pre for $199.99 straight. That’s what you will have to pay if you’re lucky enough to find a Pre from Best Buy. Considering we expect lots of shortages, you’ll have to be really really lucky to snatch a Best Buy Pre. Better start investing in some camping equipment!
