Now, if the above list actually shows projected Best Buy’s stock of the Palm Pre, there are going to be some serious shortages.
Said list was posted up over at everythingpre by a poster by the name of atlanta. This user claims this list was given to them by a friend and shows how many Palm Pres were ordered by various Best Buys.
Now, if this is true why did so many stores order such a small amount of the devices? Wouldn’t they expect at least more than 2 buyers on its launch date? What about the store that didn’t order any? Smells fishy to me.

It looks like your basing your entire article on the selection of about 15 stores. At last count, Best Buy had a few more stores than 15.
At any rate, Palm has admitted to a less than satisfactory supply of these phones. Whether that’s because of time constraints or clever marketing (think iPhone), who knows?
