Averatec Buddy NetbookBy Dax - 09/23/2008 4:46:49 AM |
Averatec has now officially put in a bid for its share in the lucrative netbook market with the 10.2-inch Averatec Buddy NetBook. Powered by the new Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, the Buddy Netbook has 1GB of DDR2 memory, Intel GMA950 integrated graphics, and a 160GB hard drive. Not enough to play Crysis we know, but it should be more than what you could ask for in the netbook segment. Windows XP Home seems to be the operating system of choice along with WiFi connectivity, and as we said before, a 10.2 inch WSVGA screen that is capable of displaying at 1024×600 resolutions.
The Averatec Buddy will sell for $449 from all major online retailers or users can order theirs directly from Averatec.
