23 May 08 Australia to get the iPhone2 First?

For the past weeks we have showed you how so many carriers around the world entered the iPhone race. Subscribers in various countries will, according to those carriers, be able to order iPhones with custom plans. What’s more interesting is that in most cases we will have at least two carriers bringing the iPhone to a certain country.

But is Australia the first country in the world, well of course other than the USA, to launch the iPhone2? according to someone in Telstra, the iPhone2 is coming simultaneously in USA and Australia. How about that? More than that, it’s rumored that the Australian version could be up to a maximum of 42Mbs, which is over 5 megabytes per second, which is the fastest in the world.
