AT&T has announced that in the near future they will start selling a new energy efficient charges for cellphones, also known as AT&T Zero Charger.

The new charger is able to sense if a phone is plugged in or not, and if it isn’t it simply won’t draw current – unlike what happens with most of the chargers. Another good feature is that it reduces the amount of energy as the battery reaches the maximum charge. According to AT&T the Zero Charger has a 5-star energy rating, and its package is all made of recycled materials.
