AT&T Vetoes the SlingPlayer for iPhoneBy Chris - 04/16/2009 7:55:32 AM |

Many people have been waiting for the SlingPlayer to be available for the iPhone but that’s not going to happen soon. Why you ask? Well AT&T seems to have a problem with Sling Media‘s player so it has requested that it should be rejected from the App store. AT&T vetoed the app as it fears it cause awful bandwidth consumption. On the other hand other handsets sold by AT&T are already using SlingPlayer versions. What about them? Aren’t they consuming any bandwidth?
Hope is not lost though as Apple hasn’t actually canceled the player yet. Maybe SlingPlayer will be given the go ahead after all.
