HSPA
No, but by the end of June they will!

Our friendly neighborhood carrier AT&T is working hard to finish upgrading their 3G network so it will be ready as we like it when the 3G iPhone strikes next month. From what they say they are working hard and fast to deploy their HSUPA support to enhance uploads and bring them up to 500-800kbps. As for HSDPA that’s already there in most of their markets with download speeds peaking at 1.4mbps.

Are we to trust AT&T to become the first carrier in the US to offer complete HSPA in their 3G networks? This piece of news seems more reliable than their previous leaks and mismanaged announcements. I believe AT&T are going to make the most of the iPhone and I can understand their hurry to finish upgrading the remaining zones. So far AT&T offer 3G coverage in 275 markets and they are going to reach 350 by this year’s end.

AT&T won’t stop there as they will move towards 4G with further upgrades in 2009 and 2010 via LTE, but you knew that already.
