AT&T Raising ETF to $325 by JuneBy Brian - 05/21/2010 6:49:21 PM |
AT&T has announced that they will be raising their ETF (early termination fees) this coming June to $325 in an effort to entice subscribers to be locked in. AT&T’s early termination fees is currently at $175 and this move could be a ploy to prepare for the expected release of the iPhone 4G/HD.
The new ETF will be applicable to new contracts and with the expected influx of buyers of the new iPhone 4G/HD handset, it is understandable that they want to protect their inventory and investment. The iPhone 4G/HD will probably have an entry point of $199 even thought AT&T is paying roughly $500 to $600 per unit.
