In case you don’t remember, we talked about the Pantech Matrix at AT&T a couple of weeks ago back in Septemer, and the cellphone was officially launched today. It is already listed on the AT&T website with a price tag of $80 with rebate + service agreement, or $280 if you want a free phone.

Like previously mentioned, the Matrix cellphone has an interesting and unique detail - dual slide out keypads. It means there are 2 sliding keyboards, one is numeric while the other is QWERTY. In terms of multimedia, the Matrix can read MP3, MIDI, iMelody, MMF, WAV, SMAF, and AAC+ format files.

The battery on this Pantech cellphone can last 3 hours of talk time, which is below the average and should be improved in the next version. On stand-by mode it works up to 10 hours.

By using a microSD card, the memory can be expanded to 4GB - lots of mp3s to listen. XM Radio and music subscription services like napster and eMusic are also included.
