AT&T Expands Mobile Broadband Connectivity OptionsBy Mariella - 04/25/2007 10:51:38 PM |
AT&T announced today enhancements to their LaptopConnect portfolio with the launch of the Option GT Max 3.6 Express ExpressCard, and the Sierra Wireless AirCard 875U for USB ports. Both of the connection devices are supported by AT&T’s 3G BroadbandConnect service, and offer users the ability to stay connected while on the go in the US or around the world.
Both can be used in over 165 major markets, with expected download speeds allowing a 1MB file to download in 15 seconds on average. Outside of 3G coverage areas, customers will be able to access the internet through AT&T’s nationwide EDGE high speed wireless data network. They can be used in 125 countries, and are the only single-device, single rate plan and global 3G solution offered by a US wireless carrier for their device types.
