AT&T has announced that they have added their new 850MHz spectrum today. The spectrum is a new 3G band for better high-speed service.
“We know many of our customers depend on wireless as their primary communications connection to work, family and friends, and our mission is to ensure that every time a customer hits the ‘send’ key, whatever the application,” said Keith Holmes, AT&T’s vice president and general manager. “We’re enhancing our network every day to help customers do more with and get more from their wireless connections.”
Atlanta is the first city to be seeing the new service, while AT&T plans to release the service to different markets throughout the year.
