Asus S101 FCC ApprovedBy Chris - 09/02/2008 6:37:36 PM |

Boy I am glad Asus didn’t roll did Asus launch another Eee netbook. They called it something else: the Eee PC S101. The S101 got leaked from the FCC which means it should be soon ready for an US release.
The S101 wasn’t supposed to carry the Eee branding but what’s in a name anyway? The 10.2 inch netbook will have a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, the 945GME chipset and an Air-like-thickness of 16 to 21 mm. Or that’s what we are expecting from it. Price was said to range between $699 to $899 depending on what SSD you ended up with. We’re waiting for the S101 to clear the FCC to see if features and prices will be confirmed.
