Asus EeePC 900 Launched at CeBIT
For all the claustrophobic folks who can't use the Eee due to its size but would like to try to, perhaps the new Asus EeePC 900 launched at CeBIT this year would be a match. The Asus EeePC 900 widens the screen of the Eee to 8.9-inches. And without that thick, hideous screen margin, I must say, it's looking good. Aside from the larger screen, the Asus EeePC 900 also offers 12GB of storage which is a lot larger than the old Eee's, and a default 1GB memory. And yes, the Asus EeePC 900 will come preinstalled with Windows OS. It will first be available to select European countries for US$600, which is around twice the amount of the old Eee with basic specs. I surmise though, that this price tag will lower as time goes. Unfortunately, unlike what was reported, it doesn't seem as if the Asus EeePC 900 has touch screen. But then again, it's too early to lose hope.
