Asus Eee PC: "I think I'm turning Japanese!"

|

Asus Eee PC has been released in Japan as Asus Eee 4G-X. It has the same specs as the Asus Eee PC 4G. Why 4G-X say you? The Asus Eee PC is only available in Japan with preloaded Windows XP Home Edition instead of Linux OS. Of course, having Windows installed on the Eee means it takes up a hefty chunk of the onboard 4GB memory. Hence, a 4GB SDHC card is thrown in as an act of good faith (right?). Japanese buyers get the choice between a black and a white Eee and they'll even get a free NTT's WiFine hotspot network and free access to the NTT WiFine hotspot network. The Eee costs JP¥50,000 in Japan or US$468
