09 Sep 08 Asus Eee PC 901 for Sale at Walmart for just $448

Well is it just me or have you also noticed the recent price drop for the Asus Eee PC 901? Amazon dropped the price for the 1000H to $449 while the 901’s price dropped from $599 to $499. That was yesterday. Now, at Walmart locations you will find the Asus Eee PC 901 for just $448.

Why does this all happen? I’ll give you a quick hint. Dell has strongly entered the Eee market with its own netbook. The Inspiron 9 has about the same specs and it comes for a cheaper price. Further more until today Dell had a great promotional campaign. You could have gotten a $99 Inspiron 9 with the purchase of another selected laptop. I almost fell for that one until I realized I don’t do netbooks whatsoever.

So there you have it Eee, we’re waiting for more price drops!
