Not only Apple and Microsoft are going to launch tablets soon and if you’re need a new tablet right now you could always decide to buy the Archos 9. This tablet PC will be ready to ship starting with October 22 and you’ll have to pay somewhere around $500 to get it. The Archos 9 will be equipped with an Intel Atom 1.1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 60GB of storage space, a 9-inch resistive touchscreen display capable of 1,024 x 900 resolution, Bluetooth connectivity, DVB-T TV, a four-hour battery and Windows 7 Starter Edition. Are you excited yet?

Seems a great deal, but I would have definitely be ready to pay up to 150$ and an hour of my battery life to get that baby a 1.6 Ghz processor… I’m really anoyed by that performance thing, but the concept is great. I’ll wait for 12” version to come out to decide which one I like the most. Perhaps, maybe the 12”, with a reasonable price of 699$, will be able to get up to 1.6?
