Does Apple stand for smart thinking or what? Not only have they release a knock-out phone last year in the USA and sold millions but they are going to release the improved 3G version in a couple of weeks. I know you know I know I have already told you that countless times. Have I also mentioned their expanding strategy? Apple’s marketing department is going strong. They are signing deals left and right with multiple carriers to deliver the iPhone. And the carriers across the world are patiently waiting in line for a deal. Everyone wins, Apple of course and then the carriers. The customer wins too. You and I will have to pay a buck for the new iPhone with a z-year plan but we will enjoy it. And by making those deals with so many cell phone carriers, Apple indirectly ensures us we will have decent 3G service all over the globe while roaming with our new 3G iPhone as most carriers will upgrade and adapt to the iPhone’s needs.
Apple has signed new partnerships with the Baltic region countries. TeliaSonera, a Sweden carrier, will bring the iPhone2 to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia later this year.
They are the last to join the never ending list of countries and carriers to go for an Apple phone. There’s no news about call and data plans yet but I am sure the guys at TeliaSonera are working on smart solutions as we speak.
