Though NVidia GPUs were faulty and caused many of the problems in the Macs and Macbooks alike, NVidia is the only GPU creator that successfully markets both desktop and mobile GPUs. I've never heard of an AMD/ATi mobile GPU doing well. If Apple is really going to throw NVidia away, it may have some problems with its Macbooks, because neither Intel or AMD has a history of successfully marketed mobile GPUs. Cheers!
