A while ago we heard a rumor saying that the iPhone and an Apple tablet were going to be unveiled at the WWDC 2009. Then we heard how it could be possible for the iPhone to be unveiled at a much later date, at a special event dedicated to it. Now we hear that the first Apple tablet could hit the streets sometime in the first half of 2010.

Gene Munster, an analyst familiar with Apple and its products, is the one that said Apple is launching a 7- to 10-inch touchscreen tablet in the first half of next year. After taking into consideration component contacts from Asia and previous discussions about the matter he concluded that the tablet can’t possibly be launched this year. When it does come out in 2010, the device will come with an OS version similar to the current Mac OS X. That much we already suspected. Well then, we’ll be waiting for 2010 then.
