Apple removes Sex Offender Locator from App StoreBy Jeff Baker - 08/06/2009 7:33:46 PM |

Last week we let you know that the Sex Offender Locator app was made available on the App Store. Today, however we were notified that Apple has officially taken the app off the store.
We don’t have official confirmation as to why the app was pulled but TechCrunch lets us know that in California it is illegal to sell one’s personal information for profit, sex offender or not. Regardless, rumors are circulating that the app’s developers plan on sueing Apple over the whole thing.
We’ll keep you updated as this story unfolds.
