Apparently Apple has a third version of its iPhone 2.1 firmware but details are rather secret for now. Beta 3 doesn’t have any specification of new additions yet and it’s thought to solve bugs from earlier versions.
Version 2.1 of Apple’s firmware is said to solve background push notification issues. Basically that allows live apps to receive data even when turned off. GPS support is another important issue. With 2.1 we are expecting a more complex navigation than with the 2.0.
We’ve seen earlier version 2.0.1 launched and already cracked by the iPhone Dev Team so we would expect the same thing to happen to version 2.1
