Apple posts job offerings for iPhone antenna engineersBy Jeff Baker - 06/30/2010 11:56:55 AM |

While the iPhone 4 is quite the highly sought after device, and has managed to sell like hot cakes ever since it went up for pre-order on June 15th, it has had its fair share of problems. While some users have been subject to a yellowish tint on their displays, others have been having massive problems with the antenna. In fact, the notorious iPhone 4 problem has effected virtually every device sold causing dropped calls when held a certain way.
Well, what is Apple to do when faced with such woes? Hire some people to fix it, of course.
A slew of recent job listings were spotted on Apple’s corporate site with the following description:
“Define and implement antenna system architecture to optimize the radiation performance for wireless portable devices [...] The The candidate should be able to design antennas suitable for wireless handheld devices with excellent radiation performance [...] Work closely with other RF and antenna design engineers, mechanical and industrial designers, and EMC engineers to integrate the antenna design in our products.”
Let’s hope Apple sorts this fiasco out before their image is tarnished further.
