Apple has sold over 200 million TV shows episodes including more than 1 million HD episodes which were sold in the last month only. Apple has confirmed that all four of the major US television networks are offering HD programs on the iTunes Store. Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of Internet Services said:

We’ve got an incredible Fall 2008 TV lineup with over 70 primetime comedies and dramas, including many of the most popular shows on TV in stunning HD. With over 200 million episodes sold, iTunes customers have proven they love watching television on their computer, iPod, iPhone and TV with Apple TV.

Probably your favorite show and your favorite network are present. Standard definition television shows cost $1.99 per episode while HD shows are priced at $2.99 per episode. Entire seasons are available for a discounted price. There are 30,000 TV episodes to chose from and over 2,500 movies.

I feel we need an iTunes competitor. Could Amazon be the one? YouTube you say>
