Apple iPhone Talks in China Break Down

|

"We can only say that negotiations have ended for now. We have no other news to report," was the statement of China Mobile Communications Corp., Li Honghui, regarding the issue. Indeed, talks of the iPhone on China have been called off. Everybody refuses to give statements regarding the issue, but hey, there's always someone who'll snitch somewhere. According to sina.com, talks broke down because Apple and China Mobile cannot agree on a revenue-sharing scheme which is reportedly around 20-30% of the service provider's user fees. Speculations abound that this might pave way for Apple and China Unicom Ltd. talks for the iPhone, the latter being a smaller rival of China Mobile
