Apple iPhone Ranks as the Fourth Most Popular Phone in USA

In a report released last Friday by Strategic Analytics, Apple's iPhone ranked at No. 4 as the most popular handset in the United States.

The handset has sold a combined 1.1 million units in the third quarter alone, totaling 1.325 million units since launch. So far, the iPhone commands 13 percent of AT&T's handset sales, and it currently fourth in the overall US market.

Motorola's RAZR V3 is current the reigning champion, although it is losing ground to newer models and brands. According to Strategy Analytics, the top ten handset models account for 25% of the typical handset sales.
