Apple iPhone FCC Photos Published

|

Remember that day when the FCC blessed the Apple iPhone? At that time, Apple had requested short-term confidentiality of the photos and and user manual. Until June 29, 2007, the confidentiality request was active. Now, after the launch, they are available with the FCC.

You might have already seen the Apple iPhone Bluetooth headset (available from the Apple Store for US $129). This headphone supports hands-free profile, but there's no mention of the more important headset profile. Does this mean the iPhone cannot be used with Bluetooth stereo headphones? Sadly, yes. The A2DP (advanced audio distribution profile) is missing. There's also no mention of voice-activated dialing in the manual, another minus point there.

I have been playing with the iPhone for a day now. It was fully charged in the morning, and in less than 10 hours, I got the Less than 20% battery remaining warning. Of course, I have been using it as an iPod, ripping Safari's guts out - while making the iPhone switch between EDGE and Wi-Fi periodically just for fun. When it was windy outside, one could hardly hear another person speak on the iPhone.
