Apple Has Patent for Gesture-Based Text EditingBy Chris - 12/26/2008 10:57:23 PM |

Apple is cooking something no matter what season it is. Its most recent patent is the Swipe Gestures for Touch Screen Keyboards. That means Apple is definitely interested in touchscreen keyboards. Should we be dreaming about Apple netbooks or tablets? Well the new patent suggests that simple finger gestures like swiping to the left or right might control basic functions in text editing. Swipe to left and delete characters, swipe for a space and swipe down for return. These could be very easily adopted by iPhone users for now, but when will they be implemented, we’re yet to find out!
