Apple is keeping busy and it keeps filing those patents. This time we’re talking about a patent talking about “Portable Device Capable of Initiating Disengagement from Host System” or a “touch and go” system. In other words, the system is a touch sensor attached to an USB devices which will be aware of your presence. Simply touch it and the drive will be disconnected from the computer. That way you won’t have to worry about unwanted data loosing. So what is Apple thinking about in the long run? Are we to expect some sort of new Apple USB device coming our way? Well the patent covers USB devices, SD cards, mobile phones, media players, game consoles computer peripherals, biometric sensors and headsets so we’re definitely going to see this patent in action at some point in the future.
