Apple censors a dictionary app, chaos ensues

Apple is at it once again, but this time they have done something that is sure to get the entire internet mad at them: censoring words found in a dictionary app that was submitted for sale on the App Store.

The app in question was developed by Matchstick Software and is an iPhone version of the online dictionary NinjaWorls that currently sells for $2 on the App Store. That’s fine, but the fact that Apple decided to delete words from said app that they deemed “objectionable” even after they gave it a 17+ rating, is not fine.

DaringFireball makes a good point about the whole situation, Apple censored words from a dictionary app that are “used every day in elementary school libraries and classrooms”. What’s next, Apple? Our freedom?
