Apple buys Quattro Wireless

While Google is busy unveiling their own handsets, Apple is busy scooping up mobile ad networks namely Quattro Wireless.

Rumors were floating around about the buyout but now Apple has made it official and forked over an unannounced sum of money for the company. However, reports have surfaced that suggest the deal went down to the tune of $275 million.

What does this buyout mean? With Google and Microsoft already in the advertising game it wouldn’t be a complete surprise if Apple did the same. However, we’ll hold assumptions until Apple’s intentions are made known.
