Apple buys Lala music streaming service

It seems that Apple is shifting their focus from just offering downloadable songs through iTunes to also offering paid for streaming.

This assumption has been made due to the fact that it was recently confirmed that Apple has purchased Lala, a music streaming service. This particular service allows users to stream songs one time for free with further unlimited streams being offered at just 10 cents per track. This means that you will be able to purchase a whole slew of tracks and then access and stream them from wherever you have a Flash capable browser.

But what implementation could Apple possibly be hinting at with this purchase? Perhaps integration with the iPhone/iPod touch to allow for on the go streaming? We’ll have to wait and see.
