Apple Being Sued by Chinese Manufacturer for iPad DesignBy Brian - 01/31/2010 8:41:21 PM |
Here is something weird. Normally you would think that Apple would be doing all the suing from a little-known company for some infringement or patents violations. This time it is the other way around. A Chinese company called Shenzhen Great Long Brother Industrial Co. is reportedly suing Apple for the iPad design, a patent which they claim they had already filed for a P88 tablet last May 2009.
While it seems like an impossible task to get back at Apple on US soil, it looks like Apple will join Google in having a tough time penetrating the consumer market over at China. Remember, China has a good number of subscribers but I bet some of Apple’s iPads will make their way there anyway; with or without Apple’s licensed distribution!
