11 Jun 08 App Store to Open on June 27th?
Although it was said that the App Store will be available sometime early July, a local Apple site, the Australian version to be more precise, is was announcing June 27th as D-Day when the App Store will go live. Hundreds of applications will be available to download both for your 3G iPhone or your iPod Touch.
Apparently the webmasters were relying on old information and they built the site accordingly. In the mean time the error has been corrected therefore the App Store will not open on June 27th in any part of the world. It would have been at least weird to browse to some applications two weeks in advance of the actual iPhone release!
