Antennagate Response Part 2: HTCBy Mark Rollins - 07/18/2010 7:13:43 PM |
This is the second in a series of reports from major cellphone companies in response to the Apple Press Conference last Friday addressing the antenna problem. Next up, HTC.
Steve Jobs apparently said something about the HTC Droid Eris and its dropped call record, which is enough to gain the attention of Eric Lin, global head of HTC PR. Lin said that about 0.016 percent of customers complained about HTC Droid Eris signal issues, which is about 34.4 times less than Jobs claim of 0.55 percent of iPhone 4 customers.
Yeah, that probably wasn’t a good comparison, Steve. Tune in for Antennagate response Part 3, when we reveal what RIM has to say. You might want to read Part 1 here for Nokia’s response if you haven’t already.
