Another App Store Purge underway?

By Mark Rollins - 03/08/2010 2:56:06 PM

apple-iphoneTwo weeks ago, we covered how many “explicit” apps were being removed from the App Store en masse. Well, that didn’t really last long, and it would appear that the App Store is doing a new kind of purge.

This time, the target is WiFi Scanning apps. One of them is WiFi-Where, an app that allowed users to find Wi-Fi hotspots. This app, designed by Softpedia, is apparently one of many of its type to be deleted. Why does Apple want to get rid of these all of a sudden? Who knows.

I’ll try and cover this purge, like I did with the other one, with daily updates.
